Luxury hotels all over the world feature not only pristine accommodations in historic hotels, elegant castles or luxurious spas but Christmas and New Years Specials. These holiday deals include discounted accommodations, holiday parties with Santa, festive Christmas lunch on-site or a New Years Eve gala at the resort.
The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel Featuring Canada's "Storybook Castle," Banff offers luxurious resort accommodations at three ski resorts: Sunshine Village, Lake Louise Mountain Resort and Ski Banff at Norquay. The Canadian Rockies offer natural snow-covered hills and majestic beauty for skiers to enjoy as they slide down the slopes, while Banff National Park features other winter activities, such as ice skating, sleigh rides, or tobogganing down the hill. Christmas in the Castle begins December 19th and lasts through January 2nd, with a variety of holiday activities. Banff offers family activities such as touring the castle, making gingerbread houses with the hotel's pastry chef and singing Christmas carols on Christmas Eve. It also offers Christmas parties like the hotel's Christmas Afternoon tea or the New Years Eve Gala. The hotel recommends making reservations for activities in advance.
Airth Castle Hotel The Airth Castle Hotel in Scotland features 125 pristine bedrooms, complete with luxurious bedding, local soaps and bath salts and a fully stocked mini-bar. Hotel guests also have access to the hotel's spa and fitness facilities, including a heated indoor pool and Jacuzzi, tanning salon and full-service spa with a variety of treatments. During the holidays, Airth Castle offers Christmas packages that feature Christmas celebrations or a New Year's Eve Gala with discounted accommodations. For a three-day package at Christmastime from December 24th-December 26th, guests will experience fine accommodations, mulled wine, a lavish Christmas Eve dinner and church services, a traditional four-course Christmas lunch and a buffet supper with a Scottish Ceilidah that night. The package finishes with guests relaxing on Boxing day. Their New Years package is very similar but features the Grand Hogmanay Ball on New Year's Eve. Packages run from $469 to $586.
Hotel Monteleone Since it was built in 1886, the Hotel Monteleone has been one of the historical landmarks of the French Quarter. The hotel features 55 hotel suites and 600 guest rooms and is within walking distance to most of New Orleans local attractions. During the holidays, Papa Noel hotel rates start as low as $ 99 during the week and $119 on the weekends. On Saturday December 10th and December 17th, the hotel hosts a Monte the Lion Holiday Party, which is a Children's tea where they can meet the hotel mascot along with Santa Claus, the elves and Frosty the Snowman. The entire family can nibble on tasty treats and watch a holiday parade. The event costs $50 for adults and $36 for children.
St. David's Hotel and Spa Most of the luxurious rooms overlook Cardiff Bay and feature private balconies so that guests may gaze out at the water any time they like. At the holidays, the hotel is decked out in shimmering lights to prepare for the festivities. The hotel hosts a Santa Sunday Lunch on December 11th, with a traditional menu of roasted turkey and chestnut stuffing and Christmas pudding with a brandy sauce. The package includes lunch, games, and early visit from Santa Claus for $44 a person and accommodations may be added for $94 per a person a night. Accommodations include a full breakfast and use of the spa's hydro pools. The hotel also offers spa specials, include a spray tan, manicure and pedicure for $71.
